Jess Wade

Singer, Songwriter, Poet, Rocker, and Rebel

As music increasingly competes with digital devices and detracting home remedies, Jess Wade continues to captivate live audiences. With a rich vibrato voice and dominating stage presence, Jess is the embodiment of singer, songwriter, poet, rocker, and rebel. His songwriting has often been compared to that of Bob Dylan, some even calling him the Jim Croce of our generation. But with riveting performances more reminiscent of Waylon Jennings or Bob Seger, Jess proves that he is not so easily defined. In his unique troubadour fashion, Jess delivers charming renditions of outlaw country standards, southern rock classics, and powerful originals delivered straight from the heart.

At an early age, Jess Wade and his band, The Out of Towners, found regional success performing at variety shows and festivals around North Louisiana. With a rich musical heritage and fondness for stage lights, Jess soon elected to take his songs and vocal artistry to Nashville. There he sought out the tutelage of Gene and Paul Nelson, esteemed songwriters for Don Williams, George Jones and Keith Whitley. Jess was eventually discovered by Neal James, the legendary southern rock founder and producer of projects for Merle Haggard, Johnny Paycheck, and Willie Nelson, who rigorously encouraged him to pursue a major recording career.

However, Jess soon became disillusioned by the increasingly homogenized sound of country music and decided to concentrate on further developing his craft, devoid of the sensationalism of prevalent pop culture. During this time, he delivered hard-hitting ballads "Satisfied Man" and "Crazy Me," as well as foot stomping honky-tonk anthems like "Heaven Help Me" and "I'll Protect the Guilty," all defined by a strong lyrical focus. With a catalog of notable originals and an eclectic array of cover songs, Jess soon had three albums under his belt and was headlining music shows across the southern US.

As a seasoned entertainer, Jess Wade boasts an uncanny ability to write and select songs that appeal to his diverse group of loyal fans. Between recording sessions with his north Louisiana record label, Fremark Records, and promotional forays into Nashville, Jess continues to showcase his talents through live music events and occasional publicity tours.

"Original, different . . . what people

are looking for. This guy has just got

something. Audiences love him."
